love my cousin

this is my cousin and her adorable family.  i am extremely lucky to have her live so close.  we were always good penpals growing up (living hundreds of miles away from each other) and since we're close in age, we were good buddies.  when i heard they were moving to san diego for her husband's job, i was so excited.  since that time, our children are great friends, she has taught me violin lessons (though i admit to not being a good student at the time), and we try as often as possible to get together. 

sooo....i got to take their photos this year.  it was fun.  their little man is a funny, busy little guy that we all had fun keeping up with.  more to come!

this is one beautiful and hilarious family that i'm glad to know.  we met some years ago in a small valley called san marcos.  s and i had our youngest kids at the same time, both pregnancies having difficulties, though mine nothing like hers. 

i'm so grateful i've been able to get to know this family more recently during our shoot.  it was nothing short of energy.  we had fun!

i tagged along with my sister-in-law katie and helped her snap some photos of some really fun families a few weeks ago.  towards the end of the shoot that day, mr. h (as i'll fondly call him) raced down the pier to see what he might spy.  i ran after him and shot a few quick shots.  good thing i was fast, cause he was quickly done.
