my sweet little guy last month.  he was just sitting up and loving it!  i kept an eye on him and his cousins while aunt susana ran out to pick up liam from school.  the light coming in her backyard door was just too perfect, so we snapped this.  love this baby and his eyes!

a wedding!

it's been a while since i've updated the blog.  i think it's time, don't you?

let's start off on a really nice foot.  a wedding!  who doesn't love a wedding, i mean honestly?  you can't help but smile when you see the happiness on the couple's faces.  and to make things even better, i got to capture some of it for a sweet pair.  and even better, i've known this beautiful bride since she moved to san diego.  i was privileged to be able to take photos for her and her handsome groom on their special day.  it was a pleasure!

seeing the bride with her sisters makes me wish even more that i had sisters!  what a special bond that there is.  and what a hilarious scene it was trying to get a semi-organized photo of all the children in the party.  ha!  we gave in and went with it, allowing it to be a comedy rather than a tragedy.

i'm not gonna lie, this blog set-up doesn't give the photos their due credit.  but it was a beautiful wedding and i'm grateful to have been a part of it.

loving me some of this little boy.  if you happen to catch him right after a nap, just before you feed him...he's completely divine.  we've had fun on the patio in the beautiful weather lately.  here's a few...

i have taken photos here and there for friends and haven't posted a thing.  so i thought i would catch up a little bit.  this beautiful family was about to pick up and move to colorado.  as excited as they were, they knew they would miss the beach.  so what better place to take family pictures?

okay, so i really won't go into this now, but i've decided that "bee photography" would work better as "lovely photography", mainly based on my site name.  plus, i like it better.  anyhoo....here are my cute girls.  enjoy!

it's january!

um, happy new year?  i can't believe it's been so long since i've posted here.  oh wait, actually i can believe it.  but i actually have been up to something recently, believe it or not.  here's some really cute proof. 

isn't she a complete doll?  there are no words to describe this sweet, happy little girl.  we had fun!

orlandos!

i'd like to introduce ya to my mama!  this is her, and her wonderful new husband, mike.  they are still newlyweds and are just so cute.  mama needed some photos of the two of them, so off we went!

hopefully mama doesn't get mad at me for posting any of these.  as are most women, including myself, seeing pictures of yourself is always a difficult thing.  but i do this anyways, making sure she knows how completely adorable she is in all of them and that i wouldn't post them otherwise!  

oh, and mike is pretty handsome too!  i think this last one is one of my favorites from the shoot.

sweet precious baby

my step-brother and his awesome wife (who, by the way, set my mom up with her now husband!) had a beautiful baby girl not too long ago.  mama asked if i could take a shot at newborn photo-ing with sweet little "s".  and so we did, and i'm so glad.

what a precious little babe she is...

my buddies

i just realized that i never posted more of my best friend and her family photos that i took.   i'll be nice and not post any of her, just to keep things "good" between us (wink wink).  we understand each other.  but her kids are too cute not to post.  yes, tyler counts as a kid, as do most husbands.  it's okay guys, we still love you.

this one was hilarious, and an accident.  max was laying there (per my request), but then lia came in and blocked max.  we distracted them, i moved a little and oill'a!  totally candid cute kids.

this is my cousin and her adorable family.  i am extremely lucky to have her live so close.  we were always good penpals growing up (living hundreds of miles away from each other) and since we're close in age, we were good buddies.  when i heard they were moving to san diego for her husband's job, i was so excited.  since that time, our children are great friends, she has taught me violin lessons (though i admit to not being a good student at the time), and we try as often as possible to get together. 

sooo....i got to take their photos this year.  it was fun.  their little man is a funny, busy little guy that we all had fun keeping up with.  more to come!

blondies

this is one beautiful and hilarious family that i'm glad to know.  we met some years ago in a small valley called san marcos.  s and i had our youngest kids at the same time, both pregnancies having difficulties, though mine nothing like hers. 

i'm so grateful i've been able to get to know this family more recently during our shoot.  it was nothing short of energy.  we had fun!

i tagged along with my sister-in-law katie and helped her snap some photos of some really fun families a few weeks ago.  towards the end of the shoot that day, mr. h (as i'll fondly call him) raced down the pier to see what he might spy.  i ran after him and shot a few quick shots.  good thing i was fast, cause he was quickly done.
